If you or one of your Scouts require dietary, mobility, or other accommodations, we ask you or the scout’s parent or guardian to enter this information on that scout’s personal information page in Blackpug no later than two weeks before your arrival. For a guide on how to add special needs accommodations to your registration, please see the Resources & Downloads page.

If we have any questions, we will contact you, the person in need, or their parent or guardian with any questions that we have to best facilitate their stay.

Dietary Needs

We prepare gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegetarian meals for participants who require them. Based on the need, we may or may not be able to accommodate other dietary requirements. We do not have a vegan or sugar-free option.

The Food Service Manager will contact persons with significant food challenges. If you simply request a gluten-free or other meal option, we will not call to confirm.

The special foods menus can be found on the Menus Page.

Those with very restrictive food needs may want to bring their own or supplemental food. This can be stored in the kitchen refrigerator in a cooler clearly marked with the name and Troop number. Our kitchen staff will gladly work with you to retrieve food items whenever needed.

CPAP Machines

Since no campsites have electricity, we recommend bringing a battery-operated CPAP. We have a charging station at the camp office for easy daytime charging CPAP machines and/or battery packs. We also have two battery-and-inverter setups we can lend to participants on a first-come, first-serve basis. To request these mobile batteries, please email [email protected].

Mobility Needs

Troops with individuals needing a mobility-related accommodation can be placed in campsites close to the Dining Hall or without hilly terrain. Vehicles are not allowed in camp, but persons with a state-issued disabled parking permit may request a vehicle pass from the Camp Director.
