We want everyone’s stay at Meriwether to be fun and comfortable! So that we can best meet your needs, please fill out a Special Needs Form a few weeks before your arrival. We’ll contact you or the person in need with any questions that we have to best facilitate their stay.

Here are a few common special needs topics:

Dietary Needs

Meriwether has a special-diets menu for persons with a variety of food challenges. Please fill out a Special Needs Form for each person so that our team can meet the needs.

Persons with very restrictive food needs may want to bring their own food, or supplemental food. This can be stored in the kitchen refrigerator - please mark clearly with name and troop number. No persons may enter the kitchen per health rules, however the kitchen team will gladly work with you to retrieve food items whenever needed.

The Food Service Manager will contact persons with significant food challenges. With over fifty special needs forms per week, there is not enough time to call everyone. If you simply request a gluten-free or other meal option, we will not call to confirm.

The special foods menus can be found on the Menus Page.

CPAP Machines

No campsites have electricity. We have a charging station at the business office foyer for easy daytime charging CPAP machines and/or battery packs. We recommend either a battery-operated CPAP or a battery-and-inverter setup to enable nighttime use and daytime charging as needed.

Mobility Access

Please fill out a Special Needs Form for each person who needs mobility access so that we can avoid hilly campsites. Vehicles are not allowed in camp, but persons with a state-issued disabled parking permit may request a vehicle pass from the camp director.
